Some of Life’s Big Questions and some little answers

I invite you to spend a year with me as I review some of Life’s Big Questions and my version of some little answers to them.  This is an open invitation and you are free to come and go as you please.

Article 12 – Why are we here?

We are here to remember…. and to forget. As we remember the Truth, we forget the illusion. As we remember the Truth of our At-One-ment, we forget the illusion of our separation.

We are in a learning experience. We have learning devices, tools, that we may use to assist us as we learn. Keep in mind, however, it is we who are doing the learning, not the tools.

Our physical bodies are one of our best learning devices. They tend to go where we go, do what we do, feel what we feel, express what we want to express. Our bodies witness to what we are believing. Change what we believe and our bodies witness to that changed belief.

Keep in mind, however, it is we who do the doing, it is we who feel the feeling, it is we who express the expressioning. Our bodies are only the physical witnessing to our intentions. Our bodies, of themselves, have no intentions.

Our bodies are quite similar to other kinds of tools we might use, a pair of pliers, for example. Who among us would ask a pair of pliers “what do you think I should do today?”, or “how am I feeling today?”, or “what is the meaning of life?”

And, yet, we frequently ask just these sorts of questions of our bodies. Our bodies do not know the answers, no more so than that pair of pliers. Yet, we continue asking and when we do not get the answer, we make up an answer and simply pretend, make-believe, our bodies have given us the answers.

This is an attempt to believe that we are not really separate and alone. We have these bodies, you see, that keep us company. We have these bodies that tell us who we are. We have these bodies that do things for us and keep us informed about the world around us.

Our bodies are our best witness to our separation.

We can change this. What – you say???!!! We can’t change this!!! We already know that Reality cannot be changed.

But our bodies are not part of Reality. Our bodies but witness to our inner most beliefs. We change our beliefs, our bodies will witness to the change.

We are here to remember Who we are, and to forget who we are not. This appears as if we are losing something of ourselves when we forget. There seems to be a period of delay between our forgetting and our remembering. The more we practice this forgetting -and-remembering, the less this latency is noticed. And soon we will be spending more time in remembering and less time in forgetting.

Forgetting is so closely related to forgiving, that both may be thought of as an “overlooking” of what was never there at all, a “correction” to a mistake we made. In order to truly forget something, we must forgive that thing first. Having removed that emotional attachment to something, we may then forget it.

So let us gladly welcome our forgetting this illusion of our separation, and gladly make way for our remembering of our At-One-ment. This we do in remembrance of Truth, in honor of Love and in celebration of Light that has, at last, by our own invitation, returned to our consciousness.

We are here to remember – that is all. If we miss it, the opportunity will return and keep on returning until we do get it right.

No hurries mates, no worries mates. There is only the gentle unfolding, within our state of consciousness, of That Which has always been, That Which will always be, That Which Knows Us as we truly are, That Which Knows Us as Itself.

Blessings on your journeys dear ones.
